The Beginning
Born in the 70s, we have been captivated by Information Technology and the logic of numbers since childhood. Our father, who worked in the SWIFT department of a major Italian bank, passed his passion for computing down to us—a legacy that defined our future.
Our first encounter with technology was the legendary Commodore 64. In 1983, when Paolo was 7 and Luca was 5, we began learning the fundamentals of BASIC. By 1987, we moved to the Commodore Amiga, diving into the Workbench GUI, creating computer graphics with DeluxePaint, and composing soundtracks with trackers like Sonix and ProTracker. If these names ring a bell, you know exactly the kind of "digital pioneers" we are! ;-)

Education & Specialization
During our time at the Institute for Information and Technology, we mastered languages like Pascal and Cobol (on PC and AS400), with a strong focus on accounting systems.
After high school, Paolo graduated with honors from an IT Graduate School, deepening his mastery of COBOL. Even today, this language remains the backbone of global finance and administrative mainframes—a solid foundation that taught us the importance of precision and large-scale data processing.

First Steps in the Industry
Our professional journey began in Milan in 1997. We quickly adapted to the burgeoning web era, mastering HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ASP, while managing SQL databases. Paolo honed his skills in a high-tech software house serving international clients, eventually becoming an Adobe Dreamweaver Certified Developer. Meanwhile, Luca specialized in complex hardware configurations and networking infrastructure.
A defining moment came in 1998 when our technical skills earned us first place in the "Premio WWW" National Competition (ICT sector), organized by Italy’s leading financial newspaper, Il Sole 24 Ore. We were honored at the prestigious SMAU exhibition in Milan—a memory we still cherish (check out the photo on the right!).

The Foundation of SioliBros
In 2001, we took the leap and founded SioliBros, our independent software house.
For the next several years, we balanced intensive development with a career as IT instructors for major Italian corporations and public administrations. We have always pushed for innovation; for instance, our first internal accounting system was already a fully functional cloud-based Intranet back in 2001. We’ve always strived to be "one step ahead."

The Shift to Financial Technology
In 2009, we decided to transition away from teaching to focus exclusively on advanced programming and Technical Analysis. We became fascinated by the mathematical power of technical indicators and began developing our own proprietary models.
This passion evolved into a structured business model, offering our expertise as a specialized service. In 2017, we reached a major milestone by becoming members of SIAT (Italian Technical Analysis Society). That same year, we attended the 30th IFTA Annual Conference in Milan, an incredible opportunity that connected us with world-class experts in the field.

A New Chapter
In 2019, we evolved our corporate structure. While we closed the original partnership, we continue to work side-by-side as a unified team, each operating through our own individual firms to offer maximum flexibility and specialized focus to our clients.

2020 – Present: The AI Evolution & New Horizons
The year 2020 marked a significant turning point for us. We relocated our operations to Castiglione della Pescaia, finding in the coastal landscape the perfect environment to focus on our most ambitious project yet: the integration of Artificial Intelligence into quantitative trading.
While continuing our long-standing commitment to IT education, we dedicated these years to the research and development of our proprietary TICES engine. This period of intense study and backtesting allowed us to bridge the gap between traditional technical analysis and modern Generative AI.
Our recent milestones as keynote speakers for SIAT (Perugia 2025 and Lerici 2026) are the culmination of this journey. They represent not just our latest research, but the evolution of a passion for numbers that began over 40 years ago with a Commodore 64.
Today, we continue to push the boundaries of financial technology, combining our deep-rooted IT heritage with the future of AI-driven markets.
